    World Premiere “Before the Last Curtain Falls” at HOT DOCS!

    We are proud to announce that our feature length documentary “Before the last Curtain falls” will have its world premiere on April 28th 2014, 8.30 p.m. at the HOT DOCS film festival in Toronto, Canada! The film is a German-Belgian co-production by Gebrueder Beetz filmproduction with Savage Film, Belgium, ZDF and Canvas in collaboration with arte and Telenet/Prime. The film, directed by German-Canadian filmmaker Thomas Wallner dives deeply into the exceptional and heart-warming stories of a group of transsexuals and drag queens in their sixties and seventies, who summon up their bravery to take to the stage one last time.

    “Before The Last Curatin Falls” will also be screened 29th April, 4 p.m. and 2nd May 12:30 p.m. As if that isn’t good enough, also our production “Nelson Mandela: The Myth and Me” by Khalo Matabane will be screened. In the documentary he reflects on Mandelas work without calling him a hero.

    Since March 13th, the movie is shown in cinemas all over Germany and after the premiere tour was already nearly sold out, we are even more happy that “Midsummer Night Tango” has reached the 10,000 spectators-mark after the first weekend. The positive response, applause after the screenings and enthusiastic press, promise further “numerous exciting encounters, quirky guys, magical images of nature and unifying, passionate music.” (- Filmdienst)

    Good news from Munich: our documentary “An Apartment in Berlin” was selected to be shown in May at the 29th International Film Festival in Munich. Director Alice Agneskirchner confronted herself and three young Israelis with their German-Jewish past and created a film with a very surprising and unexpected ending. Founded in 1985, the International Documentary Film Festival Munich has the declared goal to offer a festival for the audience with an emphasis on the promotion of creative documentary films.

    We are very proud that our German-Finnish-Argentine production “Midsummer Night’s Tango” won the award for best documentary at 40th International [...]

    We are very proud that our German-Finnish-Argentine production “Midsummer Night’s Tango” won the award for best documentary at 40th International Filmwochenende in Würzburg this weekend.
    Especially director Viviane Blumenschein is happy about that. From 10th March she will visit the cinemas across Germany. At the premiers she will be available for questions and answers.
    From 13th March the entertaining roadmovie searching for the roots of tango in Argentina and Finland can regularly be seen in the movies.

Director Khalo Matabane creates a multi-facetted image of the living myth Nelson Mandela and analyzes how people in the world of today interpret his message of freedom, forgiveness and reconciliation.
