My Life as a Terrorist: The Story of Hans-Joachim Klein
On December 21, 1975, six terrorists from the Revolutionary Cells, led by Carlos 'The Jackal' forced their way into the conference room of the OPEC headquarters in Vienna and took seventy ministers hostage. Three people were killed, Klein was seriously wounded. The terrorists managed to escape to Algiers with a few hostages and the wounded man. There the hostages were released. After Klein’s decision to turn his back on terrorism, he had to hide for both the police and his former allies. It wasn’t until 1998 that he turned himself in. Klein now lives in Normandy and has to deal on a daily bases with the choices he made during his militant years. The documentary reconstructs the life of former terrorist Hans-Joachim Klein and reveals why an individual pursues a path of radicalism and violence.

Was the monarch who led into World War I at the same time the treasured hero of a circle of art -lovers opposed to anything military? Along the historic processes against the members of the emperor’s entourage, the film reflects on the morals, customs and taboos and draws a picture of the last years of the German Empire by a unique approach.

Boeing, John Jacob Astor and Henry J. Heinz – one can hardly ignore their names or products anywhere in the world today.
„Pioneers turned Millionaires“ tells in 5 episodes stories of innovation, courage, persistency, hard work and success in a strange new country. Using high-end reconstructions and exquisite archive footage, this series presents one of the most fascinating and exciting eras of American economic history. How did these five men who all started out as immigrants become archetypical self-made millionaires who even now epitomize the American success story? We visit the companies of Levi Strauss & Co., Steinway & Sons, Heinz and Boeing. We see how each of their founders had novel and brilliant ideas for establishing a company and gaining fame, honour and wealth. These biographies are the definitive portraits of these five entrepreneurial giants; businessmen who have their homeland in common and their place in history secured. They had left for economic, social, political or religious reasons – but all to find a better life in the United States.
