Saving The Titanic

She was the pride of the entire world. A leading example of state-of-the-art engineering in a time of groundbreaking scientific and technological innovations on a global scale: the RMS TITANIC. This 90-minute feature drama-documentary will be produced to coincide with the centenary of the Titanic disaster on 14th April 2012. The Titanic sank in less than three hours after it struck the iceberg. What is less known is how a team of shipbuilders and engineers attempted to save the stricken ship.

The Titanic to this day is an example of the cutting-edge technology of a hundred years ago. Because our drama-documentary is the first one to focus on the engineers and the engineering on board, it explains this technology in a clear and visual manner illustrating also the vital parts which are still fundamental for today‘s ship building. It is a lucid introduction to the principles of the Steam Age.

Using eye-witness accounts of the disaster, this epic film follows six main characters from the team of engineers travelling on board. A narrator will provide the documentary details and explain the technical aspects of the action, backed by leading scientists and engineers in this field. Large-scale, high-end re-enactments and the use of CGI swill further bring to life the last hours of the „unsinkable“ Titanic.

Saving The Titanic is a real opportunity to bring this untold story of the Titanic to the screen for the very first time. On the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking, this landmark documentary will be a dramatic, emotional yet highly informative and educational experience for an international audience.
