The Universe According to Friedrich Liechtenstein (Web Series)

Golden fingernails, black patent-leather shoes, a full white beard – not only his style, but his view of the world is also truly unique. Entertainer Friedrich Liechtenstein sings of extraterrestrials, love in the stars, and everyday pornography. In this 8-part web series, he explains his universe to his audience, and cruises with us to his favourite places: gas stations of happiness.

An online campaign with more than 15 million hits on YouTube made him an internet star. This time, he takes his fans to a trip across Europe – from Germany to Denmark, France, Luxemburg, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, always searching for the most romantic gas stations of our time.
He sings and dances next to gas pumps, shows the audience how to dance his signature dance – the “Electric Slide”, replaces the common gas station meal “Fries & Burger” by a self-made Algae-Soup with coconut milk, and he finally reveals his beauty hacks for a perfect full beard and shiny golden nails.
Gas stations are non-places but they become his stage: He inspirits futuristic motorway and multi energy gas stations, nostalgic backyard gas stations, stunning pumps rights by the sea as well as architectural highlights such as the Arne Jacobsen gas station in Copenhagen or the Berlin Kant-Garagen.
Right there, at the temples of consumerism and modernity, he seeks to convince fellow artists, scientists, entrepreneurs of his bold theses: Richard Dorfmeister, Mousse T., Gunter Gabriel, Dieter Meier, Lapo Elkann and Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin will soon be enchanted by his charm.
Liechtenstein’s ideas are about to be tested: Fuelling a car with his song “1000 Liter” or solving the world’s problems with the power of the algae are just two to name.
His universe is iridescent and fancy.
